New Women’s Pilates Studio Coming to Lake Norman Hosts Sunset Event

A new wellness concept is making its way to the Lake Norman area as Low Impact Pilates begins building its founding community ahead of opening its permanent studio in Cornelius.

Low Impact Movement Studio is a boutique women’s Pilates and wellness studio focused on creating a space that feels elevated, welcoming, and community-driven. The studio plans to offer both reformer and mat Pilates classes, along with on-site childcare designed to make wellness more accessible for busy moms and women throughout the Lake Norman community.

Before officially opening its permanent location, Low Impact is introducing itself through a series of pop-up wellness events. The first event in the Founding Members Series is “Sunset Sculpt,” an outdoor mat Pilates experience taking place at Jetton Park in Cornelius on Friday, May 16 from 6–8 p.m.

The event will feature a 45-minute sculpt-style Pilates class during golden hour, creating a relaxed and approachable atmosphere for participants of all experience levels. Guests are encouraged to bring their own mat, and spots are currently limited.

As fitness and wellness events continue growing in popularity across Lake Norman, experiences like Sunset Sculpt are helping bring local women together through movement and shared connection. The event also gives residents a first look at the vision behind Low Impact ahead of the studio’s official launch.

At its core, Low Impact hopes to create a space where women can prioritize movement, connection, and wellness in a welcoming community environment.
