The Ada Jenkins Center is bringing live music, community connection, and local impact together with its upcoming “Music for Good – Love is the Answer” fundraiser happening Thursday, May 21 at Boatyard LKN in Cornelius.
The family-friendly evening will feature a live performance from Blessid Union of Souls, the chart-topping 90s/2000s band known for songs including “I Believe,” “Hey Leonardo,” and “Let Me Be the One.” Doors open at 6 p.m., with music beginning later in the evening.
More than just a concert, Music for Good is designed to create an evening centered around community, service, and support for local families across Lake Norman. In addition to live music, attendees will also have an opportunity to participate in a service-focused activity during the event.
Based in Davidson, the Ada Jenkins Center has served the Lake Norman community for years through programs focused on food access, housing and financial assistance, education, and economic mobility. The organization supports residents across Cornelius, Davidson, and Huntersville with resources aimed at helping families navigate both immediate needs and long-term stability.
Proceeds from the fundraiser will help support the organization’s Critical Financial Assistance Program during a time when the need for community support continues to grow. The event also shines a light on the challenges many local families quietly face every day throughout the Lake Norman area.
With live music, community engagement, and a mission rooted in helping neighbors, Music for Good aims to create a meaningful night out while giving attendees a chance to directly support the work happening across the community.
Children ages 10 and under can attend for free, making the evening accessible for families looking to enjoy live music together while supporting a local cause.
Tickets and additional event information are available through AdaJenkins.org and BoatyardLKN.com.
