Pharos Parenting Announces Summer Class Schedule Including One in Mooresville

This summer, Pharos Parenting will hold four parenting classes that cover a wide range of topics on different ages of raising children.
Parent Like a Pro, a class that covers general parenting for all ages, will be held at Pharos Parenting at 1603 Norwood Rd. Statesville, NC on Tuesdays at 6pm June 23 through September 1. This class will cover topics such as creating stronger bonds between parent and child and how to discipline effectively.
A class for new and expecting parents, Best Beginnings, will begin on June 25 and will happen on Thursdays at 3pm through July 30 at Pharos Parenting. This course covers many aspects of the baby’s first year of development. Other topics like routines, safety, and milestones will be discussed.
For those who have taken Best Beginnings or are preparing for the next stage of their baby’s development, there will be a Tots & Toddlers class on Mondays at 10:30am from June 29 through August 17 at Pharos Parenting. As a natural follow-up to Best Beginnings, this class discusses how to talk to your toddler, emotional awareness, tantrums, and potty training.
Just for the summer, Pharos Parenting is partnering with the Iredell County Partnership for Young Children by hosting a Nailed It! with Love and Logic course at the new ICPYC office in Mooresville at The Christian Mission 919 N. Main St. Mooresville, NC. This class is not only good for parents with older children, but it will provide practical skills that can be used for all relationships. In this class, you will cover topics such as ending arguments and avoiding power struggles. It will be held on Mondays at 6pm June 22 through August 31.
“We’re glad to once again offer a class in downtown Mooresville to be more accessible to the families in the southern part of Iredell County,” said Nate Saunders, Communications Director at Pharos Parenting. “We were grateful that the United Way provided space for us last summer and we’re excited to host a class at the Iredell County Partnership for Young Children at their new Mooresville office.”
These classes are offered free to the public thanks to sponsorship from Raymer Oil Company.
While the classes are free, registration is required. To RSVP for a class, you can call 704-878-2227 or visit pharosparenting.org.
