Lake Norman Chamber of Commerce Hosts Community Blood Drive with OneBlood

The Lake Norman Chamber of Commerce is inviting the community to roll up a sleeve and make a difference during its upcoming OneBlood Blood Drive on Wednesday, July 22, 2026. The drive will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the Chamber’s parking lot at 19900 W. Catawba Avenue in Cornelius.

Held in partnership with OneBlood, the community blood drive aims to help maintain a strong blood supply for local hospitals and patients in need. A single blood donation can impact multiple lives, making this a simple but meaningful way for residents to support neighbors throughout the Lake Norman region.

Appointments are encouraged to help minimize wait times, although walk-in donors will be welcomed as space allows. Donors can reserve a time in advance through the OneBlood appointment scheduler. Donors are asked to arrive well-hydrated, eat a healthy meal before donating, and bring a valid photo ID that includes their name and date of birth.

As a thank-you for giving, each successful donor will receive a $20 eGift card, a OneBlood T-shirt, and a complimentary wellness checkup that includes blood pressure, pulse, temperature, iron count, and cholesterol screening.

Community blood drives play an important role in ensuring hospitals have the blood products they need for surgeries, emergencies, cancer treatments, and other lifesaving care. Whether you’re a first-time donor or a regular participant, this is an opportunity to make a direct impact while supporting the health of your local community.

If you’re looking for meaningful Lake Norman events that give back, consider scheduling a donation and encouraging family, friends, or coworkers to do the same.
