The next General Federation of Women’s Club of North Carolina (GFWC of NC) Statesville Woman’s Club will host their first meeting after the summer break will be on Thursday, September 3, 2026 at the historic clubhouse located at 515 West End Avenue. There will be a time of Social Fellowship at 5:30 p.m. and Meeting at 6:00 p.m. Special Guests will be Miss Stateville, Amber Potts and Miss Statesville Teen, Isabella DiFiore. The guest speaker will be Emily Cowan, Director of My Sister’s House. The club’s Community Service Program (CSP’s) will also have a chance to meet to discuss upcoming projects.
Looking ahead the club will be participating in the GFWC International Day of Service to End Domestic & Sexual Violence on Saturday, September 26, 2026 from 9 am – 12 pm at historic clubhouse located at 515 West End Avenue. Walking a Mile in Their Shoes Empowering Change, One Step at a Time.
Join us for Walk a Mile in Their Shoes as we kick off Domestic Violence Awareness Month and celebrate the GFWC International Day of Service. Walk with us to raise awareness, support survivors, and inspire hope through a community walk, proclamation, survivor stories, community resources, educational outreach, and a donation drive benefiting My Sister’s House.
Items needed for the collect are: clear shower curtains, cleaning supplies, laundry detergents, dish soaps, dryer sheets, tissues, paper towels, paper goods, mattress protectors and dishwasher pods.
