Safety Saturday Brings First Responders, Family Fun and WSIC to Birkdale Village

First responders, safety vehicles, an obstacle course and WSIC are taking over Birkdale Village for a family-friendly Saturday in Huntersville.

Safety Saturday returns September 12 from 10 a.m. to noon at The Plaza, giving families an opportunity to meet local first responders while learning more about safety in the community.

Throughout the morning, visitors can get an up-close look at safety trucks, cars and boats parked along Birkdale Commons Parkway. Local first responders will be on hand to interact with families and share ways everyone can help keep the community safer.

Kids can also test their skills on the Carolina Ninja Academy obstacle course in The Plaza, while a live DJ provides music throughout the event.

WSIC will be there, too. Stop by the WSIC setup, spin the wheel and win a prize while enjoying the morning’s activities.

Safety Saturday is part of Birkdale Village’s fall lineup of community events in Huntersville and offers families around Lake Norman a chance to spend the morning meeting the people who help keep the community safe.

The event runs from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, September 12, at The Plaza at Birkdale Village.
