Celebrates One Year of Caring for the Community

Atrium Health Lake Norman is celebrating a major milestone as the Cornelius hospital marks its first year of serving patients across the Lake Norman region.

Since opening its doors, the state-of-the-art hospital has provided high-quality healthcare close to home, caring for thousands of patients from Cornelius and surrounding communities. The hospital also reached a remarkable milestone before its first anniversary, welcoming more than 1,000 babies into the world in June.

To commemorate its first year, Atrium Health Lake Norman hosted a series of celebrations recognizing the people and partnerships that have helped shape the hospital’s success. Events included a community health fair, giving residents an opportunity to learn more about health and wellness resources available in the area.

The anniversary celebration also featured the dedication of the Paula Jo & Robert W. Boykin Lobby, honoring the Boykin family’s support of the hospital and its mission. Teammates who have played a role in caring for the community over the past year were recognized during a special employee picnic celebrating the hospital’s first anniversary.

As Lake Norman continues to grow, access to quality healthcare remains an important part of the region’s future. Atrium Health Lake Norman’s first year reflects the community’s need for expanded medical services while highlighting the hospital’s commitment to providing exceptional care close to where people live, work, and play.
