As summer winds down and Birkdale Village’s signature events series comes to an end, the mixed-use destination in Huntersville is rolling out its fall programming lineup. Throughout September and October, the community is invited to enjoy a range of outdoor events and experiences leading up to the holiday season, including the return of Taste of Birkdale after three years. The full fall schedule of events features:
The Accidental Baker Pop-Up: Indulge in the best of Charlotte’s local baking scene, from handcrafted sweets to savory bites that redefine gluten-free baking, on Sunday, September 6 and October 4, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., or until sold out.
Safety Saturday: Bring the family to meet local first responders and learn more about safety on Saturday, September 12, from 10:00 a.m. to noon. Activities include a Ninja Nation obstacle course, live DJ, and several interactive safety vehicle stations.
Social Hour: Designed with adults in mind, this new event series brings friends and neighbors together for an evening of entertainment on select Fridays at 6:00 p.m. in The Plaza. Upcoming events include Comedy Bingo on September 18, Bryan Saint Illusions on September 25, Stand-Up Hour on October 9, and Dueling Pianos on October 23. Guests are encouraged to grab takeout from Birkdale Village restaurants and beverages from Red Rocks’ satellite bar to enjoy during shows. No ticket is required, and seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Blankets and portable chairs are permitted.
Lights, Camera, Birkdale: Kick back, relax, and catch a movie under the stars on select Saturdays in The Plaza. Upcoming screenings include School of Rock on September 4, The Haunted Mansion on October 2, and the Nightmare Before Christmas on October 30. Films begin at 7:30 p.m. No ticket is required, and seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Blankets and portable chairs are permitted. Outside food and beverages are not allowed; however, guests can place an order for pickup from one of Birkdale Village’s restaurants through the Concierge.
Restaurant Week: Discover something new at Birkdale Village’s restaurants during Restaurant Week, taking place October 17-24.
Taste of Birkdale: Restaurant Week culminates with Taste of Birkdale on Saturday, October 24, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. This foodie-focused event invites guests to sample bites and beverages from participating restaurants while enjoying live entertainment, all in support of the Community Culinary School of Charlotte. Tickets are $75 per person and include all food and beverages. Each attendee will also receive a taste token to vote for their favorite station, and Birkdale Village will donate $5 for every vote received back to the event beneficiary.
Commons Market: Shop a rotating selection of boutique fashion, handmade jewelry, vintage treasures, home decor, baked goods, and more, curated by Shop Local QC, on Sunday, September 13 and October 11, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Birkdale Village Farmers Market: Discover foods, flavors, and goods from local purveyors, curated by Shop Local QC, on Sunday, September 27 and October 25, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Trick-or-Treating: On Saturday, October 31, from 10:00 a.m. to noon, celebrate Halloween with an afternoon full of family-friendly trick-or-treating and other festive activities.
