Davidson Community Players Announces a Show-Stopping 2026 Season
Davidson Community Players is stepping into its 61st season with a lineup that blends classic theatre, bold storytelling, and beloved fan favorites — all presented across their three venues: Armour Street Theatre, Cain Center for the Arts, and the Duke Family Performance Hall.
From Shakespearean drama to Broadway power ballads to a nostalgic holiday spectacular, the 2026 season is designed to entertain, challenge, and inspire audiences across Lake Norman. And yes — season subscriptions are officially open now through January 15.

The Winter’s Tale
Opens January 22 | Armour Street Theatre
DCP kicks off the year with a co-production alongside Charlotte’s Shepherd Shakespeare Company. Expect jealousy, magic, humor, redemption — and a rare chance to see one of Shakespeare’s most fascinating late romances brought to life by two powerhouse companies.

Executive Director Steve Kaliski returns to the director’s chair for this Andrew Lloyd Webber classic. After serving on the directing team for the 2012 Broadway revival, Kaliski brings deep expertise — and a fresh perspective — to this legendary story of ambition, charisma, and power.

DCP is bringing back holiday programming with one of the most beloved musicals of all time. Directed by former Artistic Director Sylvia Schnople, this cherished Irving Berlin classic is sure to become a new annual tradition.
