Ride for a Cause: Lake Norman DAM2DAM Charity Jet Ski Event Returns August 23, 2025

Grab your life vest and rev that throttle—Lake Norman’s most exhilarating charity event is making waves once again. The 14th Annual DAM2DAM Jet Ski Ride is set for Friday, August 23, 2025, bringing together riders from across the region for a fun-filled morning on the water with a powerful purpose.

Hosted by the Sherrills Ford/Dry Pond Rotary Club, this community-powered event invites more than 100 jet skiers to ride from Cowan’s Ford Dam to Lookout Shoals Dam, raising funds to support everything from scholarships and playgrounds to disaster relief efforts. Since its launch, the ride has raised over $100,000 for local causes—and the impact is felt throughout the Lake Norman community.

Here’s what to know:

This isn’t just a ride—it’s a legacy. Whether you’re a seasoned jet skier or a weekend water warrior, the DAM2DAM ride is for anyone who loves the lake and wants to give back.

Expect coffee and bagels at the start courtesy of My Brothers Bagels, a delicious lunch on the lake, and plenty of camaraderie from your fellow riders. With generous support from local sponsors like Lake Norman Power Sports, PURR Powersports, and BizGrowth Inc, this event keeps getting bigger—and better—every year.
