Lake Norman Weekend Weather: Crisp Fall Mornings and Sunny Skies Ahead

A real Fall cold front just made it’s way across the area, delivering dry and crisp Fall air as we get ready to kick off the weekend. You might even call the next couple of mornings…”chilly” with morning low temperatures in the upper 40s and low 50s. Friday will be cool with highs not even reaching to 70° for some.

By the way, Fall color is popping out across the mountains at the higher elevations. Those higher spots should peak over the next week, while lower elevations like Boone and Blowing Rock will start to see good color in the next week, peaking in about 2 weeks.

Meanwhile, a strong Nor’easter will bring rain and wind to the coast over the weekend, but it likely will be too far to east to even give us a drop of rain. Around Lake Norman the weather should be beautiful, but if you’re headed to the coast, it’ll be a different story.

High temperatures will be comfortable around the lake with low 70s Saturday and mid 70s Sunday.
