Well, finally – some much needed rain fell across the LKN area late last week and through the memorial day holiday. Some areas even picked up a few inches, which surely was needed!
Heading into this weekend though, drier weather looks to prevail with only a low rain chance. A front is likely to stall just south of our area by Friday, which could become active again by Friday and move back closer to our area, bringing a good chance for more rain Friday night into Saturday.
There is still some uncertainty about exactly how the weather will set up. One possibility is a cooler, cloudy pattern and another possibility is the front moves back north, allowing warmer and more humid air to return. Either way, periods of rain look increasingly likely for Friday night and Saturday. Highs in the upper 70s Saturday, mid 70s and mainly dry again by Sunday.
