Looking for family-friendly events in Lake Norman this summer? A new outdoor movie series is coming to Mooresville, and residents have the chance to help decide how it begins.
Mooresville Arts & Events has announced the launch of Mooresville Movie Nights at Liberty Park, creating a new community gathering space for outdoor entertainment under the stars. Families, friends, and neighbors are invited to bring blankets, lawn chairs, and their favorite movie snacks for an evening of fun in downtown Mooresville.
Before the inaugural screening on July 24, organizers are asking the community to vote for the first movie in the series. Residents can choose from four family-friendly films: Zootopia 2, Hoppers, GOAT, and Inside Out 2. Voting is taking place through the Mooresville Arts & Events Facebook page, where community members can comment with their preferred selection through June 19.
The addition of Mooresville Movie Nights gives residents another opportunity to enjoy outdoor recreation and community events in one of the town’s most popular gathering spaces. Liberty Park has become a hub for local activities, and the movie series is expected to add another family-focused attraction to Mooresville’s growing calendar of events.
Outdoor movie nights have become a popular tradition in communities across the country, offering an affordable and accessible way for families to spend time together. With the first screening scheduled for July 24, organizers hope local residents will help shape the event by selecting the featured film.
Whether you’re a fan of animated adventures, comedy, or heartwarming family stories, now is your chance to help kick off this new Mooresville tradition.
Residents can cast their vote through the official Mooresville Arts & Events Facebook post before voting closes on June 19 and the winning movie is announced.
