Pedal, Party & Give Back: The Mooresville Fondo Rolls Into Town

Mark your calendars, Lake Norman friends—because Sunday, September 7th, Downtown Mooresville is about to be taken over by bikes, good vibes, and big community spirit. The 3rd Annual Mooresville Fondo, hosted by Top of the Lake Rotary, isn’t just about cycling (though you’ll definitely get your miles in). It’s about rallying together for causes that truly matter.

Three Routes, One Goal

Whether you’re a seasoned rider with quads of steel or just looking to soak up the ride with friends, there’s a route with your name on it:

  • 75 miles (7:30 a.m. start) – for the die-hards.

  • 50 miles (8:00 a.m. start) – a solid challenge.

  • 25 miles (8:30 a.m. start) – the “I ride for the snacks after” crowd.

Every pedal stroke helps raise money for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, Be Well Iredell, and other Rotary-led initiatives supporting mental health and suicide prevention right here in our community.

It’s More Than Just a Ride

“The Mooresville Fondo is more than just a bike ride — it’s a way for our community to come together, support one another, and make a real difference,” says Mindy Rice, President of Top of the Lake Rotary. And she’s not kidding—whether you’re riding, cheering, or volunteering, you’ll be part of something bigger.

And when the finish line is crossed? Expect food, drinks, and live music from TrueRiders to keep the celebration rolling.

Why You Shouldn’t Miss It

Last year’s Fondo grew by nearly 50%, with more than 300 riders from all over the Carolinas and beyond. This year, it’s shaping up to be even bigger. With presenting sponsors like Mooresville Realty, Visit Mooresville, Edifice Construction, and Randy Marion Automotive Group, you know this event is going to be top-tier.
