In observance of Independence Day, all City of Statesville offices will be closed on Friday, July 3, 2026. Residents are encouraged to review the following holiday schedule adjustments and facility hours for the week.
Sanitation Schedule Adjustments – Week of June 29 – July 3, 2026
Residential Collection
- Thursday and Friday routes will be collected on Thursday, July 2.
- All other residential routes will be collected on their regularly scheduled day.
Commercial Garbage Collection
- Thursday and Friday commercial routes (roll-out toters and garbage containers) will be collected on Thursday, July 2.
- All other commercial routes will be collected on their regularly scheduled day.
Facility Hours
The following facilities will be closed on Friday, July 3:
- Statesville Recreation Center
- Bentley Community Center and Splash Pad
- Statesville Event Center

City Council Meeting Schedule
City Council will hold one regular meeting in July on Monday, July 13, 2026, at 6 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall. The meeting will include a public comment session.
Annual Fireworks Celebration
The City of Statesville will host its annual Fireworks Celebration on Friday, July 3, 2026, with the fireworks display beginning at approximately 9:30 p.m. Residents and visitors are invited to gather at one of several recommended viewing locations:
- Signal Hill Mall area
- Statesville Park & Soccer Complex
- Signal Hill Drive Extension area
Attendees are encouraged to arrive early to allow time for parking and to secure a viewing spot. Parking will be available at designated locations, and guests should follow posted signs and directions to help ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.
