WSIC News is currently hiring a Part-Time Producer to support live radio broadcasts, podcasts, and studio production operations across its Cornelius and Statesville locations.
The position offers approximately 20 hours per week and is designed for individuals interested in gaining hands-on experience in radio, podcasting, media production, and audio content creation within a fast-paced local broadcasting environment.
According to WSIC, the role includes assisting with live radio shows and podcast production, preparing studio spaces for guests and hosts, setting up recording equipment, organizing audio and video files, and supporting producers and on-air talent during broadcasts.
Additional responsibilities include maintaining studio organization, helping manage production equipment, and assisting with general production and administrative tasks as needed.
The station is seeking dependable and organized candidates who are interested in broadcasting, media, or content creation and are comfortable working collaboratively across both studio locations. Previous experience in media production, audio engineering, editing software, or tools like Adobe Creative Suite and Canva is preferred but not required.
The position may include occasional early mornings, evenings, or weekend hours, along with the ability to assist with moving and setting up production equipment when needed.
