Lake Norman first responders are trading their uniforms for pickleball paddles during a special 9/11 event at The Serve Pickleball + Kitchen.

On Friday, September 11, The Serve will host its 9/11 First Responder Pickleball Open Play from 5 to 7 p.m. Local first responders will take to the courts for a dedicated open play session, while the community is invited to come out and cheer them on.

The event brings first responders from around the Lake Norman community together for two hours of pickleball, friendly competition and community support.

Local first responders interested in playing can reserve a spot in advance by emailing austin@theservepickleball.com.

Community members are encouraged to stop by The Serve and support the first responders participating on the courts.

The 9/11 First Responder Pickleball Open Play is part of The Serve’s lineup of featured programs and events in the Lake Norman area.
