Big 80s Tribute Band Closes Out Rock the Park in Mooresville

Get ready for one more night of live music at Liberty Park. Big 80s Tribute Band will take the stage Friday, September 4, for the final show of Mooresville’s 2026 Rock the Park Summer Concert Series.

The free outdoor concert begins at 6:30 p.m. at Liberty Park in Downtown Mooresville. Rock the Park has brought live music to the park throughout the summer, with each show featuring a different musical style alongside local food trucks and hometown breweries.

For the September finale, the series is heading straight back to the 1980s. Big 80s Tribute Band recreates the rock and pop sound of the decade with electric guitars, keyboards and a driving rhythm section. The group’s high-energy performances are built around some of the era’s biggest hits, creating a full throwback experience for the crowd.

The concert wraps up a Rock the Park season that has brought a mix of beach music, Motown, yacht rock and tribute performances to Mooresville from May through September. This year’s lineup included The Entertainers, Sail On: A Beach Boys Tribute, The Legacy Motown Revue and Yacht Rock Radio before Big 80s Tribute Band closes out the series.

For Lake Norman residents looking for live music heading into the weekend, the September 4 concert offers a free night out in Downtown Mooresville and one last chance to catch Rock the Park before the summer series comes to an end.
